Order a HIP or EPC online Order a HIP or EPC online

You are just a couple of clicks away from ordering your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) or Home Information Pack (HIP).

1. Important - before placing your order
  • We are not a national company so please check here that we do actually cover your postcode.
  • If you are ordering a HIP, please ensure that you know whether your property is Freehold or Leasehold. The content of the HIP is different and so are the costs.

Freehold property Complete HIP including EPC £300.00 including VAT
Leasehold property Complete HIP including EPC £350.00 including VAT
Freehold or leasehold EPC only (any size property) £76.38 including VAT

2. The order process and after...

In a moment you will go to the Order Form to give us your contact details and details of the property, and tell us whether you want a complete HIP or just an EPC. Before you do here is some information about what will happen once you place your order. Please read it carefully.

  • You will not be asked to pay anything online when you place your order.
  • Immediately after you place your order you will receive an email confirming your order. You or your estate agent are then legally able to start marketing the property (you do not need to wait to receive the actual EPC or HIP).
  • One of our staff will contact you (normally the same or next working day) to arrange a convenient time to visit your property to perform the energy assessment.
  • At the same time you will be asked how you wish to pay. You have 2 options;
    1. By credit or debit card over the 'phone
    2. By cheque to be collected when we come to perform the energy assessment
  • One of our accredited Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) will visit your property at the agreed date & time to perform the assessment. It is crucial that you (or another responsible adult) is there to let them in unless we have agreed some other arrangements for us to pick up the key (eg from your estate agent).
  • Once we have produced the EPC (normally the same day as the assessment) you will receive an email with the EPC as an attachment in PDF format.
  • If you have ordered a HIP it will be emailed to you in PDF format once it is complete (normally about 7 days but sometimes longer depending on the local authority).

3. Small print

  1. To keep the cost of our service to the minimum we do not issue paper copies of EPCs or HIPs. Neither do we issue them on CD-ROM or other physical medium. You are paying for the electronic version only. If you absolutely must have a hard copy we will post you your choice of either a paper copy or a CD on payment of an additional £5 once the document(s) are completed.
  2. Until we have received payment either by card or by cheque we will not perform the energy assessment and no progress will be made on the HIP (if ordered).
